Botanical Art Classes with our artist in residence Sue McHugh

We are delighted that our artist in residence Sue McHugh is hosting beginners botanical art classes in the historic Boat House on the Knowsley Estate.

A Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists, she is recognised for her watercolours inspired by the natural world.

The classes are suitable for beginners as well as those looking to improve their skill sets.

Classes run 29th November, 6th, 13th and 20th December and start at 1pm.

Each workshop lasts 2 hours, with an additional 30 minutes for discussion over a hot drink and cake and cost £55 per person. Sue will also have a selection of her original artwork from her Knowsley Hall botanical series, available for an exclusive viewing.

The workshops require no experience, and the easy-to-follow process will walk you through the key steps to producing realistic botanical watercolours with real impact. All professional art materials are provided.

Only 10 places available per session, so booking is essential.

Accessibility, due to the historic nature of the property, there are steps leading into the Boat house. As such, it may not be fully accessible for those with limited mobility. Thank you.
